Fine Art Paintings
This butterfly collection was inspired by my recent inspiration to paint in oil paints again.
After years of not painting in oils- losing that spark- it reappeared one day. I thought to myself ‘I really miss oils, the buttery texture and silky smooth washes. The colors are so alive’
This collection includes seven mini paintings, each in oil paints and embellished with delicious gold paints.

Inner Wisdom Shimmered in Gold Dust
This beauty features an abstract background painted with watercolors and acrylics, letting the paints drip down the canvas in a meditative way, just letting the paints go where they needed to go.
I then added stenciling in, using them as sort of a plant-like background and foreground, as if the tiger is calming laying in her garden.
Gold pens and metallic watercolors complete this painting to add a little extra magic to the piece!

The balance between the light and the dark, the sun and the moon, the summer, and the winter.
The weak and the strong the night and the day. The new and the old.
Life and death.
....
I had a lot of fun, then a lot of resistance, then a lot of hope with this one. I love it 💙✨️🤍

Red Koi represent energy and courage. The circular motion represents harmony. ❤️
Glowy Snowdrops with a star filled sky (or maybe that’s snow? What do you think?)
I wanted to capture the glow that I find so enchanting when photographing flowers. I like to try to emulate that same feeling with painting, like these little guys are glowing through the cold and dark days with winter still in the sky.
A little rescent moon and glowing stars- or maybe snow- fill the sky in this enchanting night scene!

I like to think
that long ago
there fell to earth
some flakes of snow
which loved this cold
grey of ours
so much they stayed
as snowdrop flowers

A beautiful, bright and bold sunflower painting in traditional gouache. 🌻
I always tell people, you can’t be mad when you look at sunflowers. They are one of the most well known flowers, typically large with a dark center full of florets. They are inviting to bees and butterflies and as they age, the birds love to eat their seeds!
Sunflowers come in so many unique types, one of my favorites is a teddy bear sunflower. But you can’t go wrong with the traditional farm field style sunflower!
This painting is full of life and ready for his new home! Painted with gouache in a watercolor-style and many layers. It will come to you varnished for extra protection!
This original painting is created on high-quality watercolor paper, measuring 9×12 inches. It is unframed and ready to display.

I plant sunflowers each year, once I had a sunflower that reached around 16 feet in height! They are a wonderful addition to your garden and very hardy. Sunflowers are grown across the world and in many climates! They love the sun 🌻
